nothing better to rid yourself of stress...

than a good water aerobics class. i went again tonight so i could start the week off with a bang. i feel pretty good actually...a little bit of soreness, but not too much. i was able to focus on the class and let the day's stress just drift away with each move.

lionel wasn't there tonight so mickey taught the class. she has definitely stepped up her game in leading the classes. there were only a couple of songs where i missed lionel's routine. there is one that is a spanish-sounding song where he gets us moving back and forth across the width of the pool, doing our frog jumps and tuck jumps, etc. he gets you just to the point of thinking you're not going to make it, but you do.

i'm sitting here listening to an album (afterhours 3 deluxe edition) i downloaded from itunes the other week. it starts off kind of slow then builds into grooving dance tunes. the song playing right now is your mind by richard dinsdale. definitely one to keep in mind when i start working on the elliptical machine in the (hopefully) near future. i really like it because it is 12 hours worth of music. i love long mixes like that. i can put my headphones on at work and really get into a project and tune out the rest of the world. unfortunately i provide end-user support on certain applications, so i'm interrupted often.

one little annoying complaint though...my boss has this bad habit of talking to me when i'm in the middle of a support call. it's like whatever she has to say is more important than the task i'm working on at the moment. she totally disrupted a call this afternoon and i had to get the user i was helping to hang on a minute while she told me what she wanted to tell. get this...it was something that she could have sent in an email fyi-ing me about the situation. i get so aggravated with that. but then she is the center of the universe (NOT!)....lol. enough venting...

janelle has been sick all weekend and went to see dr. v today. he gave her some cough medicine and antibiotic. she has a hard time swallowing pills so he gave her liquid meds. he kept picking on her about taking "little kid" medicine and how was she going to go off to college in the fall. she seems to be on the mend thankfully and plans to go back to school tomorrow. she has an appointment tomorrow to get her hall of fame portrait made. i think it is for the yearbook. i'm not sure what she is going to wear or take with her, but she said she had it all figured out.

well i hope everyone had a decent monday. i'm going to check on my email accounts and do a littel blog reading before bed.

Sorry J was feeling under the weather (I know that feeling) and I distinctly remember the number of pills I had to wash down the sink when I was making my transition to grown-up meds. Yech! 4 days til the Bud Shootout!
