today is my mom's birthday. she spent most of it in a car on the way home from my brother's house. my dad was with her so i know she was happy.
they are like two peas in a pod. they prefer each other's company to other folks. they've stuck together through thick and thin. they didn't need the fancy house and cars and jet-set vacations to be happy with each other. as long as they were together, that's all that mattered to them. they will be married for 44 years this upcoming september. they dated for 6 years so they've been a couple for nearly 50 years. that's pretty cool.
