this afternoon, janelle and i met donna, her husband donald, and her daughter at starbucks for knitting, coffee, and chatting. i had the best time! janelle had a lot of fun, too. it was nice to finally meet donna face to face. we've been emailing and leaving comments on each other's blogs from time to time, but never actually met. we found out we live within a few miles of each other. plans are definitely in the works to hang out some more.
donald gave janelle a set of wooden needles and taught her a little more about knitting. she did much better with the wooden needles than the metal ones i had. he was very patient with her and showed her the different types of cast-on stitches. she is knitting like an old pro now...lol. donna said he loves to teach people how to knit. their daughter was knitting the point lobos hat from whatifknits. i think i've got that hat in my queue on ravelry. if i don't, i'm adding it.
i want to cast on for the 2nd whatifknits basic wristwarmer. i finished the 1st one last night. i making them out of moda dea cheerio in ruby. the yarn is super soft. it has a little bit of sparkle in it. i caught it on sale at one of hobby lobby's 99 cent a skein sales. i wish i had bought more!
well, i'm going now. i have to work tomorrow. :( i'm hoping we get to go home a little early, but i'm not holding out much hope on that.
kisses...
