rainy saturday - good day for knitting and movies

that's basically what i've been doing today....watching movies and knitting. i finished the basic wristwarmers from whatifknits. i'll take/post pics soon. i almost had a disaster with the 2nd one though. i had unknowingly dropped a stitch towards the end, but was able to save it. i think i know when i dropped it b/c my count seemed off at one point. i wish i had bought more of the moda dea cheerio yarn i used. it's so soft. i'm going to keep an eye on hobby lobby's sales and maybe i can pick up some more to make a scarf.

last night i finished calorimetry for mom. i made it out of king cole big value double knit yarn shade 154. i can't find the exact color on the website, but it's black with specks of color throughout. it's pretty soft for an acrylic. mom is allergic to wool so she asked that i make it out of acrylic or some other synthetic. i'm going to make her another calorimetry out of bernat super stripes in black and teal blue. the 2nd one will be a little thicker and she mentioned several times that she liked the bernat yarn.

i'm going to go now. got to catch up on some of my blog-reading and see what's new on ravelry.

kisses...
